The tech space is about to hear the sounds of the pack pounding the pavement again as Coyote Point Systems (News - Alert) gets ready to barrel into 2012 with a loud bang.
Last year, Coyote Point – a provider of load balancer technologies—made a big splash in the market from the introduction of its 10th generation EQ/OS ADC (News
- Alert) software platform to the unveiling of its Japanese headquarters.
“The company grew in headcount and revenue in 2011,” Jim Puchbauer, director of marketing for Coyote Point, told TMCnet when asked how the company grew in 2011. “We made significant commitments to increase the resources and headcount of engineering and technical support with great success. We had a major expansion in Japan with the opening of a Tokyo headquarters, Lisa Pozzi our vice president of sales has focused on EMEA to strengthened key alliances nearly doubling our EU revenue in 2011. Our Australian partnerships have also proven to be very productive and showed impressive growth this year.”
But as we say hello to a new year, the load balancer company is eager to hit the ground running again particularly as it looks to broaden its application delivery portfolio and increase the performance of its current solutions, according to Puchbauer.
Last year, in an effort to make good on those promises, Coyote Point observed the desire from consumers for more flexible, powerful management tools and, accordingly, introduced the 10th generation of its EQ/OS ADC software platform this year. EQ/OS 10 is a purpose-built, enterprise-class application delivery architecture that provides a unifying technology platform for the GX line of EqualizerTM Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), Equalizer OnDemandTM Virtual ADC and EnvoyTM Global Server Load Balancer (GSLB).
“This year, we will leverage our EQ/OS 10 architecture to complete development and release key new products and capabilities in the areas of Global Server Load Balancing, Virtualized Appliances versions of our most successful solutions and broadening the toolsets of each of our Coyote Point solution families,” Puchbauer said.
Aside from an increased desire for more flexible, powerful management tools, Coyote Point also predicts that this year the load balancer market will be greatly affected by virtualization.
“Virtualization has radically transformed how data centers are built, managed, and networked,” Puchbauer said. “We are predicting increased demand for application delivery tools to help in these virtual environments. Rapid server deployment and new levels of deployment flexibility are becoming common. What we see needed are answers to new questions on how to manage application performance and availability in the rapidly evolving virtualized environments.”
“In 2012 Coyote Point has a full schedule of products, deployment tools and best practices to help guarantee the performance and availability of Application Delivery in virtual environments,” he added.
