Load Balancer: Nastel Receives Accolade from Gartner

Nastel Technologies, a global provider of business transaction performance solutions for mission-critical applications from the data center to the cloud, has been named as a visionary by industry analyst firm Gartner (News
- Alert) for Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
Gartner evaluated 29 technology providers on their ability and success in capitalizing on their vision in its annual Magic Quadrant report on global providers of APM (News - Alert) solutions.
“We believe Nastel’s inclusion as a Visionary within this report serves as a key affirmation point that our solutions are viewed as leading the market within certain sectors of APM,” said David Mavashev, CEO of Nastel Technologies, in a statement.
Mavashev said that the company’s ability to provide particularly accurate and detailed transaction profiles and integrate those profiles with pure business process data, and the company’s strength in monitoring message-based middleware and Java EE sets the company apart from the other players as innovators that helped shape the APM market.
“The factors most responsible for the increased attention now being paid to the APM process and the tools and services supporting it do not come from IT, but from the business side of the enterprise, which has, during the past decade, fundamentally changed its attitude toward IT in general,” said report authors Will Cappelli and Jonah Kowall.
Cappelli and Kowall noted that line of business and C-level executives now generally recognize that IT is not just infrastructure that supports background workflows but is also, and more fundamentally, a direct generator of revenue and a key enabler of strategy.
TMCnet in October 2010 reported that a technology partnership agreement has been created between Kratos Networks, a premier provider of network monitoring and management solutions, and Nastel Technologies to integrate Nastel's AutoPilot M6 technology with Kratos' NeuralStar (News - Alert) and dopplerVUE network event management products.
IT managers, through the resulting solutions, will be offered sophisticated Application-Aware (News
- Alert) Network Performance Management, a seamless, 360-degree view of their IT infrastructure – hardware, applications and services.
