Loadbalancer.org Unveils the Latest Firmware with Support for IPv6 and SIP Caller-ID Persistence

Loadbalancer.org, a provider of high-performance load balancer solutions to the SMB market, announced a significant enhancement to its enterprise product family with the release of Firmware v7.0.
The new Firmware v7.0 Loadbalancer.org provides advanced features and functionalities at an affordable price point, according to company officials. More significantly, it adds support for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and Session Initiation Protocol (News
- Alert) (SIP) caller-ID persistence.
The entire Enterprise Loadbalancer.org product family now provides an advanced level of persistence (session affinity) for IP-based communications utilizing SIP, company officials said.
The new product comes with a redesigned Web interface that provides easier navigation. The new highly flexible interface enables configuring VLANs and multiple subsets. The solution already has features such as unique USB disaster recovery method.
“By providing full IPv6 support, Loadbalancer.org are now bringing even more top-end features and functionality to the affordable load balancing market,” said Jake Borman, Loadbalancer.org sales director, in a statement.
“And with the recent release of our Enterprise 10G – a fully customizable, fully backwards compatible product, offering your choice of 10Gb NICs - IT organizations can now fully future-proof their infrastructure at an affordable price point,” Borman added.
Thousands of Loadbalancer.org appliances are currently in production throughout the world ensuring the uptime of e-commerce Web sites and mission-critical applications, whilst also improving performance, security and scalability.
Earlier this year, Loadbalancer.org announced it is entering the cloud load balancing market with the introduction of an Amazon EC2 load balancing appliance. With the introduction of the Enterprise EC2, Loadbalancer.org provides a flexible, feature rich, application delivery controller.
